1866-1928 Swedish painter and lithographer. Wilhelmson trained first as a commercial lithographer in Göteborg. In 1886 he enrolled as a student of decorative painting at Valand College of Art where his teacher was Carl (Olof) Larsson. In 1888, having obtained a travel grant, he went to Leipzig to study lithographic technique. From 1890 to 1896 he lived in Paris, where he worked as a lithographer and commercial artist and studied at the Academie Julian. Wilhelmson's preferred subject-matter was the coastal landscape of Bohuslen and the people of its little fishing villages with their huddles of wooden houses. There is no trace of ethnography in his depictions of local life; they are full of serious realism and display a sensitive insight into the perilous life of the fishermen, with which he had been familiar since childhood. Isidoro Bianchi
Isidoro Bianchi called da Campione (20 July 1581, Campione d'Italia, Lombardy - 5 December 1662) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period. He was born in Campione d'Italia, Lombardy and was active c. 1626. He studied under Pietro Francesco Mazzuchelli. He excelled in fresco painting for the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio at Milan and in different churches at Como. The Duke of Savoy chose him to finish a grand saloon at Rivoli, which had been left unfinished at the death of Mazzuchelli, who had commenced it. Bianchi was afterwards made painter to the Court, and was knighted in 1631.
Francesco Maria Raineri
(February 2, 1676 - February 28, 1758) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque, mainly active in Mantua. Also called Lo Schivenoglia after the town, just outside of the city of Mantua, of his birth. He was a pupil of Giovanni Canti. Among his works, he was known for his paintings of battle scenes, landscapes, and cappriccios (vedute of imaginary scenes) with historical or mythologic figures. He was named director of the Academy of painters in Mantua in 1752. He is known to have painted a St. Sebastian for the chapel of Santa Anna.
